Albert Einstein was an important physicist and mathematician of the 20th century. He was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879 and grew up in Munich. Einstein studied at the Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich and later became a professor of physics at the University of Berlin. He became known for his work on the theory of relativity and for his discoveries in quantum physics. Einstein received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 and is now considered one of the greatest scientists of all time. He died in 1955 at the age of 76.
